Tom Buckley
Vice President, CFO and Treasurer, The Dwyer Group®

Tom Buckley is the vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer of The Dwyer Group®.

Tom has held his current positions since 1997, under which he is responsible for all of the company's finance and accounting functions. He also served as president of Mr. Electric® from 1998-2002.

 

Tom began his career as an auditor with Arthur Andersen & Co. in New Orleans. He started his franchising career by going to work for what was, at the time, the largest Burger King franchisee. His franchising experience now spans more than 30 years and includes supervision of finance, accounting, legal and franchise sales departments, as well as owning his own franchising business. He has served as executive vice president and a board member of Bonanza Restaurants, vice president of finance and franchising of Western Sizzlin' Restaurants and a board member of Shakey's Inc. He also owned and operated his own franchising business as a regional franchisor of SpeeDee Oil Change & Tune Up.

Tom passed the CPA exam before graduating from the University of New Orleans in 1970 with a bachelor's degree in accounting. He is currently a member of both MENSA and Intertel.
